Agreement of the Sighthound Lure Coursing Competition «Twin Cup»

«Eesti Hurtade Liit» (Estonian Sighthound Union) and «Latvijas kurtu un kursinga klubs» (Latvian Sighthound and Coursing Club) have agreed on the arrangement and conditions for the «Twin Cup» competition:

• The Twin Cup competition takes place once a year.

• The Twin Cup competition includes two separate coursing competitions held in one weekend. On the first day, the competition takes place in Latvia, and on the second day in Estonia. The organizer of the competition in Latvia is «Latvijas kurtu un kursinga klubs», in Estonia – «Eesti Hurtade Liit». Both competitions are conducted according to the national Lure coursing competition regulations of the host country. Both competitions must be included in the competition calendar of the respective host country and must not be of a lower rank than national-level competitions where certificates are awarded.

• Competition protocols from the first day of the competition in Latvia (signed by the chief judge) are handed over immediately after the competition to the Estonian competition secretariat.

• On both days of the competition, at least one of the judges must not be a representative of the host country of the respective competition (on Saturday, in the Latvian competition, at least one judge is not from Latvia, and on Sunday, in Estonia, at least one judge is not from Estonia)

• Points from both days will be calculated and added up. A title will be nominated to the dog who:

1. has obtained the highest total score of both days in its class/breed AND,
2. has obtained quality certificates (CQL) from both days AND,
3. at least 4 dogs competed in their class/breed on both days (each gender is awarded the title only if there is enough dogs of each gender to run in separate classes as per competition regulations).

• After the second day of competition, «Eesti Hurtade Liit» will submit competition results and the awarded titles for registration to «Eesti Kennelliit».

• The owner of the dog who won the title has the right to add the title «Twin Cup» and the year of its acquisition (for example, Twin Cup-24) in front of the dog's name.

• «Latvijas kurtu un kursinga klubs» provides winner cups for the title winners. «Eesti Hurtade Liit» provides winner jackets for the title winner. The winner’s jacket is purple, with the title and year written in silver or white.
